Kevin Morrison Hosts Texas Legislators Protecting Democracy At Dino’s Pizza In Northwest Illinois
The Texas State Legislators who have taken refuge in Illinois to fight an undemocratic power grab shared a meal with Cook County Commissioner and 8th District Congressional candidate Kevin Morrison at his family’s restaurant, Dino’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant on Friday.
Kevin Morrison had this to say about hosting the legislators: “These heroes left their state, their families, and their routines behind to protect our republic from a power hungry President, afraid that his disastrous policies are going to lose him his party’s house majority. Illinois has always opened its doors to those who need a safe haven, and as an Italian-American I’m proud that my family’s restaurant could be a welcoming place for them to share a meal.”
Kevin is running for Congress to fight for our shared values in Congress and end the chaos caused by Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican allies. The visit by Texas legislators to his family’s restaurant highlighted the shared fight between communities in Illinois and Texas to protect democratic freedoms under attack across the country.
