Kevin Morrison Secures Key Endorsements On Day One
On the first day of his historic campaign, Commissioner Kevin Morrison announced key endorsements from local leaders who are standing with his campaign for Congress.
The large list of endorsements include State Senator Adriane Johnson, who said: “When underserved communities need a fighter, Kevin has always risen to the occasion to offer help. He was instrumental in creating Cook County's Department of Mental and Behavioral Health to help connect people with life-changing resources. When we have leaders like Kevin, no one gets overlooked – and that's why I'm so proud to endorse him for Congress.”
State Senator Rob Martwick said: “Good leaders deliver results. Getting results requires people like Kevin who are able to build coalitions at every level of government to do the right thing by their constituents. I'm endorsing Kevin Morrison for Congress because I know that he is as collaborative as he is effective and responsive to the needs of our constituents. We can trust him to listen to our needs and make changes in the Capitol.”

Kevin Morrison is a Cook County Commissioner and candidate for Congress. In 2018, he made history as the first openly LGBTQ+ and youngest-ever Commissioner, as well as the first Democrat to represent his district. On the Commission, Kevin has been a leader on mental health, small business, the environment, public safety, and tenants’ rights. Kevin has delivered results for working families and marginalized communities.
